Materials Needed:
1. Paint Shop Pro Version 8 (should work in 7 too)
2. Animation Shop
Step one: Make a new image in PSP size 160by20 pixels in size, flood fill with color of your choice.
Step 2:
Add text, convert to raster layer.
Merge all layers visible.
Step 3: Go to your Pan tool. Zoom in by 5.
Step 4:
Using your PaintBrush with the following settings: size 2, step 13, density and opacity 100
Add a new raster layer, begin to add dots on the top of your blinkie, go all the way across.
Once done, click layers 'duplicate', then image 'flip'.
Now the two rows of dots should be both on top and on bottom.
Step 5: Layers, merge all flatten.
Save as psp image 1. Do not close your image.
Go to 'Edit' undo merge all, then go to your layers pallete and
delete copy of layer one and delete raster layer 1
There should be no more dots on your blinkie now.
Now, repeat step 4, and add more dots, different colors if you want.
Merge all flatten,and save as psp image 2.
Step 6: Open up animation shop.
animation wizard, a window will pop open
Follow these steps:
check, 'same size as first image frame'
next
tranparent checked,
next,
upper left corner of frame, with canvas color checked
next
yes, repeat animation checked (put 10 in the little box)
next
go to view animation and you see your blinkie in action!
save your blinkie!
